Terms & Conditions

Commencement of Service

The date on which our service commences will be dependant on the satisfactory completion of the signing up process and the clearance of fully authorised funds.

Payment terms

We accept all credit and debit cards as well as cash and cheques. Service for clients who pay by cash or by credit/debit cards will normally commence on the 3rd working day after the day on which the signing up process has been satisfactorily completed. Service for clients who pay by cheque will normally commence on the 6th working day after the receipt by us of their cheque. The clients’ fully authorised payment for the total period of their proposed contract is required before commencement of their service. The minimum period of contract is 10 days. Clients who wish to continue after the expiry of their initial period of contract will again be required to provide us with a fully authorised payment before the commencement of service for their subsequent period of contract.

Stoppage and suspension of Service

Clients will at all times have the option to request for their contract to be either stopped or temporarily suspended. The "effective" date from which all such stoppages/suspensions will start will be the 3rd working day after the day on which the Client's request has been received by us. In the case of stoppages we will send a refund to the Client of a sum equivalent to the unused period of his/her contract as counted from the "effective" date. In the case of temporary suspensions the “effective” starting date will also be the 3rd working day after the receipt by us of the Client’s request. In order to provide our Clients with the maximum possible scheduling flexibility we allow our Clients to request as many temporary suspensions as required, subject to us receiving the required notice period at the time of each such request.

Delivery

Your food will be delivered to you daily between 11.00 p.m. and 6.00 a.m. in a cool bag containing ice packs. In order to provide our Clients, if required, with a proof of delivery, we take photographs of all the bags we deliver each night. These photographs not only show the position at which the bag has been left but also record the time and date of each delivery. If you come to believe that your cool bag is being stolen from the drop off point previously "specified" by you, please advise us immediately, and "specify" a new and more secure dropping off point for the delivery of your cool bag. Silhouette Chefs will not accept responsibility for loss of cool bags due to theft from your "specified" dropping off points. On the other hand, if a non-delivery takes place because the bag was not delivered to the dropping off point "specified" by you or due to any other error on our or our courier's part we will compensate you for the same.
We will raise a charge of £10.00 per bag if you fail to return any bag either because it has been lost/mislaid or because you have simply decided to retain it as a keepsake.

Ownership of the Cool Bag.

The cool bag will remain the property of Silhouette Chefs at all times and will therefore need to be returned. We would request that every night, before 11 p.m. you should place your old empty bag at the agreed drop off point and we will pick it up and in its place we will leave you your new full bag.

Liabilities

The food we supply is not in any way meant to either cure or prevent disease. We strongly recommend that you should consult your doctor before embarking on Silhouette Chefs' diet in much the same way as you would do before embarking on any other diet programme. Silhouette Chefs will not accept any liability for any deterioration in any medical condition.

Although we routinely receive reports about weight loss from our existing Clients we do not give any guarantee that every new client will lose weight.

Please note that our foods may contain traces of nuts and we may use raw eggs in some recipes. It will be your responsibility to inform us about all your allergies.

Warranties

Nothing in these terms and conditions will affect your statutory rights as a customer, or exclude or restrict our liability to you for any injury caused through our negligence or fraudulent misrepresentation.

Privacy policy

When you sign up with us we will ask you to provide us with your personally identifiable information such as your name, address, telephone number, e-mail address and so on. In order to process your payment to start the service we will also ask you to provide us with some financial information such as credit/debit card number, issue number, expiry date and security number. All such information is collected and held securely by us entirely for our own use only and we do not share any of that information with anyone outside of Silhouette Chefs.

Use of our Website

Silhouette Quality Foods Limited own the Copyright and ownership for all the information about Silhouette Chefs on this Website. As a potential customer you may retrieve and display such information on your computer screen and print out individual pages from the Website for the sole purpose of placing an order for our services. The copying, modifying or transmitting of the material for any other purpose is strictly prohibited. Please note that the owners of Silhouette Quality Foods Limited are also the owners of another company by the name of Silhouette Chefs Limited and of Silhouette Chefs as a trading name as well as of Silhouette Chefs as a registered trade mark. Hence the use of Silhouette Chefs either as a company name or as a trading name or as a trade mark are strictly prohibited.

Please note that the signing up process will not be considered to have been satisfactorily completed until you have confirmed, by marking the box here below, that you find our Terms and Conditions acceptable.

Changes to the Terms and Conditions

We reserve the right to make changes to our Terms and Conditions. All such changes will be communicated to all our live customers. Any new customers who use the Website to sign up after any changes to the Terms and Conditions have been published thereon will be bound by such changes.
